Ingredients

soy milk3 Tbs sugar
250 g blackberries
Servings: 5
Recipe directions
Mix all ingredients (blackberries, sugar and soymilk) and sieve to remove the blackberry seeds. Serve the blackberry smoothie chilled.

Blackberries are very healthy. 100 g blackberries contain 3.2 g fiber, 17 mg vitamin C, 189 mg potassium and 44 mg calcium. More important, blackberries contain high levels of health promoting anthocyanins (150mg per 100 g fresh blackberries). Consumption of anthocyanins has been associated with lower risk of coronary heart disease and improvement of visual function. Anthocyanins may also have anticarcinogenic and anti-inflammatory properties.
